We would like to announce a new BETA testing program.

• What is a MADRIX BETA?
  A MADRIX BETA is a pre-release version of MADRIX. Such versions are regularly launched before the final release candidate (update) of the software comes out. Those BETA versions include new features for testing purposes and are already relatively advanced and stable. But still, BETA versions are NOT recommended for productive use in live systems. MADRIX BETAs are usually released 2 to 4 weeks before the final update. Last year 2 BETA versions were released. In 2009 it was 3 versions.
  
  
• How will this be organized?
  When a new MADRIX BETA is released, we are going to send every BETA Tester an e-mail. Moreover, we have created a closed Forum section in this online forum for all registered BETA Testers. We will open a new topic for every BETA version we release. It will contain all necessary information, including a link to the new BETA version. It will also contain a list of new features and where to look for them in the software. We will also include references to the explanations in the MADRIX Help and Manual (the software user guide). Of course, you can also ask us directly.
  
  
• What is a Tester supposed to do?
  Ideally, we are looking for users who are willing to check BETA versions (and their new features) once they are available. It doesn't matter if you are able to test the version in a productive environment or if you are just using it in demo mode. More importantly, we would like every tester to give us their feedback directly in the Forum. The reply should specifically include what they like and what they don't like about the new features. You should also include any strange or unintended behavior you have found (so-called software bugs). If possible, please also explain step by step how you found such a software bug. The more details you are telling us, the better. Also, we would need your feedback as soon as possible.
  
  
• Is there a benefit for Testers?
  Like every MADRIX user, BETA Testers can give invaluable feedback to our developers. Therefore, they can take an active role in the development process of the software.
  Moreover, we intend to give out small incentives/benefits to our BETA Testers in the future. We are definitively going to say thank you to everyone with a small gift. Right now, we cannot say exactly what this will be. But please be sure that we already highly appreciate every feedback we are getting from you.
  
  
• How Can I Apply?
  You don't need to apply. Everyone is welcome to join this BETA testing program! But please remember that we need your feedback by e-mail!

  Please tell us your e-mail address, your name, and your username in the MADRIX Online Forum. We will do the rest.
