Help with KiNet and 3 sPDS-480ca 12 foot x 8 screen

Post by darwint »

I am trying the demo version of madrix as I want to buy it. I have 3 sPDS-480ca
7.5 V boxes connected to 384 icolor module fx 6:9 tiles. The 3 sPDS-480ca boxes have 128 tiles per box. Each screen is 4 feet wide and 8 feet tall with 8 tiles wide by 16 tiles high. There are 3 sections to the wall which is 12 feet wide (3 x 4) and 8 feet tall total and each sPDS-480ca does a 4 feet x 8 feet section.

Every time I load up Madrix 3 it only displays on 1 section of the 3 sections, as well the video doesn't look like it should. For example I run the Madrix word and it's all distorted and not aligned. I have read the manuals and I can't seem to figure this out.

The software does find all the 3 sPDS-480ca boxes on device manager, but then it only seems to output to only 1 box and not the 3 at once.

Any advice will help as from the little I've seen work I'm pretty sold on the software, but I need to make sure this will work as it needs too.

Do I need to set up more than 1 network connection? or ??? I'm not the best with programing, hopefully you can help,

thanks Darwin

Hello darwint,
Welcome to the MADRIX forum.
.
Please double check in MADRIX if you have enabled all found KiNET devices.
In the next step please check if all KiNET ports have the correct DMX univere assignment. You can test the output of all found KiNET ports in MADRIX with the help of the "Highlight Universe" (bulb) button. Therefor please select the desired KiNET device in the "DMX Devices" tab of the MADRIX "Device Manager" and click the "Highlight" button. Now all connected fixtures of this universe should be illuminated in white color.
After you have assigned the right DMX universes for every KiNET port you have create your desired patch. The patch you have to create in the MADRIX "Patch Editor".
.
Under the following links you will find some more information about the necessary steps to setup the connected fixtures:
