Audio Trigger

Post by CoolB »

I currently have an audio player hooked up and once the audio starts it runs my Light installation via Madrix and PC with simple layered effects. I would like to make the effects on a particular song a little better by adding cues to it to follow along the music with different effects. I was wondering if i can start my cues by sound as soon as the music starts with some kind of trigger?

Thanks

Time Code is the answer you are looking for.Time Code is a useful way to integrate time synchronisation across devices in order to synchronise the equipment with each other. Small messages will be sent in regular intervals and every device thereby knows the overall time of the system.

MADRIX 5 can receive

▪ MIDI Time Code [MTC]
▪ Art-Net Time Code
▪ SMPTE Time Code
▪ System Time

Receiving Time Code is possible with all MADRIX 5 Licenses. You can use software like https://timelord-mtc.com to output the music and send Time Code information to MADRIX 5. Then you can use Time Code in the MADRIX 5 cue list.
