Changing types in patches

Post by ClearBlu »

Hi Guy's , I've migrated to madrix from another platform and it's unbelievably easy to use and get decent cues/seq from but I have a question

I've got a few large patches ( 80 universe plus )
but unfortunately the 'programmer' has set the patch with the wrong channels and I want to change the profiles within the patch so it runs correctly across the different types of pixel .
Is there an easy way to do this ? can you not grab the fixtures within the patch and change the fixture type? I haven't seen anything that is obvious but I may have missed something

Hello ClearBlu,
Welcome to the MADRIX forum.

The MADRIX 5 "Patch Editor" provides the option to update all patched fixtures. That means you can easily perform the changes of the patched fixture with the help of the Fixture Editor, save the library, restart MADRIX 5 and update the fixtures from the used fixture library.
To update the patched fixtures please navigate in the MADRIX 5 "Patch Editor" to "File > Update Fixtures From Library".

Under the following link you can learn more about the "Update Fixtures From Library" option in MADRIX 5. Please navigate to the section "Menu":

A tutorial which explains how to modify and update a fixture library in MADRIX 5 you can find under the following link:
