Combine different LED strip types BRG + GRB

Hello there,

I'm using 2 different types of LED strips (LPD8806) on the same matrix. One is BRG and the other is GRB.
Is it possible to combine them in the same setup by addressing them differently from the same generator or patch editor?
Can someone please redirect me to the relevant tutorial or discussion?

Hello Dood Head,
Welcome to the MADRIX forum.
.
In MADRIX it is possible to combine different fixtures together in one patch.
In your case you have simply to patch BRG fixtures and GRB at the correct DMX addresses and universes. The result will be a homogeneously output. That means when you send for instance the color red with MADRIX all the connected fixtures will be illuminated in red.
Under the following link you can learn how you can create a patch with different fixtures:

Hi I am using WS2811 strip and the problem I am facing is that when my universe 1 is RGB my universe 2 is GBR. Universe 3 is BGR and so on.
When the universe ends the colour channels are changing in the same strip.
Can you help me with that?

Hi chints1505,

You have to patch different fixtures (with a different color order) for each universe.

Here you can learn more about patching in MADRIX 3:

I hope this helps you.
