Hi guys.

I am making a setup where I want to have two different sets of led lights. One controlled by the fluid effect. The other controlled by the timeline. Both will be run from the same computer with one universe. ( only 20 lights per set )

I have separated the two sets into two fixture groups and have mapped each group to its own layer. I have assigned the fluid effect to the layer for the first set of lights. However I cant figure out how to apply the timeline to the layer for the second set of lights.

Is it possible to assign the timeline to layer?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the MADRIX forum!

The timeline works "Storage Place" based, thus it is only possible to assign "Storage Places" to the Timeline.

There is still a possible solution if the fade time is higher than 0:
- The crossfader needs to be set fixed to the middle position with a global macro. This can be done with the "SetFadeValue" function. We can send you the macro if you send us a short e-mail to info[at]madrix[dot]com.
- Now you need use the Fluid effect on Deck A und the effects for the Timeline on Deck B. Make sure to map the effects correctly to the designated area.
- The fadetype (fade-in and fade-out) in the timeline has to be "Whitefade". It is necessary to use a fadetime higher than 0.
- If you now play back the Timeline, the effect on Deck A will remain the same, while the effects on Deck B are changed by the Timeline.
