Different colors and effects for each led strip line

Post by toninolotta »

hi, i'm new in the Madrix world, i have 10 nebula and each one has two led lines, i have to give a color or effect to each line, how can i select each line separately. I tried with the groups but I can't get all the separate LED lines, maybe I'm doing something wrong or it's not the right method.
thank you

Hello toninolotta,

Depending on the wanted result the workflow with groups and map the effects to the desired groups will be the correct one. After assigning the desried fixtures in a fixture group you will need to map the effects to the desired group. If you want to output several effects at different groups, you will need to add more effect layers, select the desired effect and change the map of the effect (to a predefined group).

Maybe the following tutorials can help you:

You only should keep in mind the mapping of groups will work in a kind of bounding box. That means if there are other fixtues (which are not assigned to the desired fixture group) but in the area of the bounding box, this fixtures will be also influenced by the mapped effect.

Furhtermore you can create some of the wanted light effects by changing the parameters.
