Nebula and Eurolite led ip pixel strip 160

Post by Dano »

Hi.

I'm setting up eight Eurolite led ip pixel strip 160. (480dmx ch) on one nebula interface.
Setup:DMX, Generic rgb light 1 pixel, X8 and Y160.
My problem is when i need to connect the fifth led stripe on the second nebula port.
Then the Fifth led stripe is partial patched to the 4 universe on the first port. Tried to change dmx adress and offset (from the fifth led stripe and forward), but that doesn't work.
Is my setup wrong or how do i solve the problem? don't want to cut and solder if i don't have to.

Hello Dano,
Welcome to the MADRIX forum.

The NEBULA can control up to 680 RGB LEDs on one output port. That means in total you can control up to 1360 RGB LEDs
So you can connect 4 LED "ip pixel stripe 160" to one output of the NEBULA. The fitht to the eighth stripe should be connected to Port 2 of the NEBULA.
Now you need to patch the stripes MADRIX with the help of the "Patch Editor".
In the Patch Editor you patch strip 1-4 to start "DMX Start Channel: 1" and "DMX Start Universe: 1".
Now you will need to patch stripe 5-8 to "DMX Start Channel: 1" and "DMX Start Universe: 5".
Please pay attention to set the correct amount in X and Y and change the Start Position to the correct position. In your case you have to set X = 4 and Y = 160. Now patch the first 4 stripes to Position X = 1 and Y = 1, the second 4 stripes you will need to patch to X = 5 and Y = 1.

Under the following link you can learn more about the "Patch Editor":
