Issue: CSV cue list import.

Post by 2004dianecrowe » Fri Jun 19, 2020 9:41 am

Hi all, im a new.

And second,

I’m trying to import a csv file in a cue list whit 200 cues…
All works good, the problem is the timecode

If I insert in the csv timecode 00:00:36:05 Madrix not allow it, Madrix allowed if I wrote 36200

What is the conversion that I need to adopt?

So, in timecode I need to convert my timecode hh:mm:ss:ff to the allowed Madrix format?

The rest of the tab is perfect, I can load all the information, but i can't load the correct timecode…
Which language I need to convert it?

Tks in advance.

Hello 2004dianecrowe,

Welcome to the MADRIX Forum.

The Time Code value in the Cue List CSV file format is millisecond based. That means you have to convert every desired Time Code or Duration into milliseconds. In case of using Time Code you addinal need to pay attention about frames. In case of a frame time different from 0 you need to have the Time Code Format in mind.

For example the Time Code should be 00:00:36:05 at the Time Code Format 30 FPS.
Now let us calculate:

36 s are 36000 ms

Convert frames in millisecond:

1000 ms per second / 30 FPS (frames per second) = 33.3 ms per frame
5 frames x 33.3 ms per frame = 166 ms

So we have to set 36166 (36000 ms + 166 ms) as value for this example.
