3D Volumetric Patch

Post by Bezel »

Hello,

I'm trying to create a "chandelier" of hanging pixel tape products that is 8 x 32 and each piece of tape is 170 pixels long. When I create the 3D patch it seems that I cannot have Madrix prioritize the addressing in the vertical Z axis before moving on to the next fixture when I specify a count of X=32 Y=8 Z=170.

Thanks.

Hi Bezel,

Welcome to the MADRIX forum!

You want to patch the addresses in z-direction, right?

If yes, this is not possible with the "Add Fixtures" or "Matrix Generator" dialog. But you can create a corresponding 1x1x170 fixture with the Fixture Editor, where the address are layed out in z-direction. You can find the Fixture Editor in the installation directory of MADRIX 5 (default: C:\Program Files\MADRIX5).

Here you can learn how to create fixtures with the Fixture Editor:
