Can't get sACN input to show up, sACNView sees it

Hey folks!

I have an sACN stream coming in. The laptop that is running Mardix5 (free version) isn't seeing my sACN input, despite on the same device being able to see that data in sACNView.

Device Network I have ESTA - Streaming ACN enabled, and selected the network (same as sACNView). Device Count is 3, I am inputting Univ 2.

Device Manager for DMX Devices (tutorials said to go there) noting shows up as On. I can manually turn the State of the second device to On and set it to IN. Double clicking on the Details shows the correct Unicast IP. Device Name is ACN Id:00002, Unive:00002

I open the DMX Watcher, go to Input which defaults to Universe 2. I see no data. I have saved my setup, restarted the program, and double checked the settings.

What am I missing? Is this disabled no the unlicensed version? I am trying to show I can do this before purchasing a license, but so far I am failed.

Welcome to the MADRIX forum!

Did you select the sACN device in the "DMX Input" tab?

If not, please navigate to "Preferences" > "Device Manager..." > "DMX Input", click at one of the input universes and select the sACN device. Now you should be able to see incoming sACN data in the DMX Watcher.

Data input works without a MADRIX 5 license.

I am unable to see the sACN device. In the Devices Network tab I have Streaming ACN selected and the correct IP address selected from the pull-down menu. Windows Defender doesn't have anything blocking it, and my IT folks made sure there wasn't any other firewalls blocking traffic. I turned on the State for U2 to On, but the Device Name seems so just be a generic name.

Please send us a logfile to info[at]madrix[dot]com. To save the logfile please start MADRIX and select "Tools" > "Logfile...", click "Save As..." and enter a name for the logfile.
