He was referring to the new hardware interface, the MADRIX PLEXUS.

With MADRIX 2.12 you can make a record and create a loop from it (menu Window -> Recording)

Then, the PLEXUS could be the "dedicated show controller" to run the loop (or a whole show) from.

Sounds as if you are looking for the so-called DMX Fader Tool.
It is available from within MADRIX in the menu "Tools"
